On July 13, "Beiyou 26", the first large and luxury aluminum high-speed passenger vessel with length of 70m and seats of 1,200, built by Aulong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Aulong) was successfully delivered. Li Xiaofei, President of Xinyi Holdings Limited., Liu Dejun, General Manager of Beihai Xinyi Cruise Ship Co., Ltd., Du Yuanhong, General Manager of Zhuhai Branch of China Classification Society, Wang Haohan, General Manager of Guangzhou Branch of China Classification Society Industrial Corporation, Chen Jianrong, Secretary General of Guangdong Shipbuilding Industry Association , Yan Zhiqing, chairman of Aulong, and Wang Guangrong, general manager of Aulong, attended the delivery ceremony and witnessed the important moment.
It is well-known that "Beiyou 26" is a large luxury aluminum catamaran high-speed passenger catamaran, tailored for Beihai Xinyi Cruise Ship Co., Ltd. With 70.6m length overall, 17m beam moudled, 34 knots max speed and 1,200 passenger capacity, it has set several records in which it has the largest main dimension, the largest passenger capacity, the fastest speed compared to vessels with same passenger capacity, and the highest design wind resistance level. It is also the first aluminum high-speed passenger vessel equipped with high-end leather massage chairs and pet rooms. After delivery, "Beiyou 26" will be served on the route between Beihai and Weizhou island.

The VESSEL has the characteristics of good hull structure strength, excellent line shape, fast sailing speed, strong wind and wave resistance, high safety and comfort. In the construction process, it is fully monitored and controlled by the Austal quality management team, and its construction quality is in line with the world-class standards.
Wang Guangrong, general manager of Aulong, said that "Beiyou 26" is currently an aluminum high-speed passenger vessel with largest dimensions built in China, and it needs to be comprehensively considered in terms of safety design, aesthetic design, comfort design, human-machine engineering, and seakeeping. There is no doubt that it needs high requirements of construction capacity for the shipbuilding enterprises to design and construct such large and high-speed aluminum vessel. Relying on the strong strength of Austal, as the parent company of Aulong, in the field of large aluminum vessels construction, Aulong has adopted advanced technologies including computational fluid dynamics analysis, finite element structural analysis, seakeeping analysis, structural fatigue strength analysis, and aluminum material test analysis. By removing various bottlenecks like ship type design and structural strength of Chinese large aluminum high-speed passenger vessels, Aulong successfully completed the vessel construction and ensured the scientific and advanced nature of the vessel.
Shen Hui, technical director of Aulong said, “Learning from Austal's advanced experience in the design of large high-speed vessels, “Beiyou 26” adopts high- depth moudled design to avoid harmful impact of waves on the vessels effectively, maintaining its smooth sailing under severe sea conditions of 7-level strong wind and 3-meter wave height. The vessel's movement range is small and the possibility of gathering waves on it is low, reducing the possibility of damage to important mechanical equipment on the vessel and reducing the response under loads of the hull structure. These fully ensure the safety of the vessel's entire life cycle. Compared with similar domestic passenger vessel, "Beiyou 26" has better line shape, faster sailing speed, lower vibration and noise. Especially the drag reduction in wind and waves is better than similar vessels more than 8%, which can greatly improve the fuel economy and sailing speed.
